ining Metal Pipe With Gutta Percha – U.S. Patent Office Model 1856, issued patent to A.D. Puffer, in 1856, lining metal pipes with gutta percha to prevent corrosion, and to “keep soda or mineral fountain liquids pure and tasteful while they were resident in the pipe.” That would qualify for beer products as well for you brewery collectors.

The pipe is 2 3/4 inches overall.  The gutta percha can be seen inside the pipe (see photo).
