M1878 haversack with leather sling and miniature lock attached. Void of any unit markings, or soldier ID, as paint was used to cover those markings.  The sling shows wear, but is sound. The fort and knife leather sleeves are still in the slots in mess compartment.  A miniature lock is attached to one of the brass sling hooks. It was stamped “ARMADA JUNIOR.”
