Description
Model 1888 Springfield Rod Bayonet Cleaning Tip. This is an original tip that was used with the rod bayonet when cleaning the bore. The 1888 ramrod bayonet did not have a button end for holding a rod when clean, so this was devised. Kept in the butt trap of the weapon. The body is checkered for gripping.
Hard to find these.
