Description
Presidential Service Pocket Badge -Numbered, is worn by United Stated Armed Forces personnel, and other uniformed services, and Secret Service.
Established in June of 1960, by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, with the issue beginning in 1964 in the Lyndon Johnson Administration.
The badge is awarded after at least one year of satisfactory service.
It is my understanding that determining the name to number was and my still be a confidential matter.
The gilt brass badge is 2 inches diameter with applied blue enamel plate with gilt Presidential Coat of Arms surrounded by 50 silver stars.
This one is numbered 20711.
