Description

Record of the Wyoming Artillerists, by Lieut. Col. D.C. Kitchen, Tunkhannock, PA, Alvin Day, Printer, 1874, Hard green cloth, 89 pages, contains rosters, no illustration.

A general history of the artillery company from its organization in 1840 to 1874. It contains rosters of the various organizations in the Mexican-Civil Wars and 1870. Excellent information on army life during the Mexican War, and contains some pencil annotations about a few of the veterans of the Mex War.  Records of battles, and other pertinent information.

This is rare privately printed book, believed only 250 ever printed, and not found in Mexican War source references.

The book covers show wear, as when finished the cloth was adhered to the boards and not folded over edges. Some of the cloth is bubbled where some glue has let go.  Nearly all of that bubbling occurs on the front cover.  Edge wear, but nothing serious. Pages are showing use, but lightly so. A tight copy.
