Description
Seldom seen modification of a GI issue khaki shirt, made into an “Ike jacket.” The practice seems to have been found more in the CBI, than perhaps the Mediterranean Theater. Obviously done for the extreme temperatures in MTO and Italy. I set this on form with an OD shirt, but most likely another Khaki shirt may have been worn underneath. The only label on the shirt is the sizing.
Also modified on this uniform, is a standard headquarters AAF patch with an embroidered “15” (15th AAF). US made sergeant 1st class chevrons complete the insignia.
A scarce WWII uniform!
Fine condition.
OD shirt and tie not included.
