Scarcer – 1872 Hagner No 1 Cartridge Box Modified to .45/70 This Hagner No.1 box is about the best condition you could hope for and even better yet. a scarcer modification to .45/ 70 loops mounted on equipment leather strips then applied to the interior of the box. Dorsey’s reference shows what appears to be thin leather strips not this heavy material used here.

Condition is untouched, with only minor chipping on closure strap, and very light wear on the back of the “v” shaped strap on the back. There is a compartment for the combination gun tool models of 1866 thru 1876.  The 1879 combo toll will not fit.

Sharp embossed US on cover.  “No.I” on back stamped tin.  Brass riveting throughout.
