Men wanted to serve with the 11th Infantry at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana circa 1922-30’s.
This small broadside printed circa 1922-30’s was probably ordered to be printed by Recruiting Sergeant Dearing, and distributed by him in the Peducah, Kentucky area, while looking to fill the ranks of the 11th U.S. Infantry which was stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana beginning in 1922 and for the next 17 years.
The broadside boast of quite a modern facility with many great amenities, which was just a growing concern prior to WWI. The list of benefits may suggest the period closer to the time of the Great Depression, where many Americans were experiencing a good deal of lack with such things.
Thin paper, with some slight holing, one affecting one latter of text; a couple of small tears and separations that really do not show. Shows signs of once having been folded. Most suited for framing.
Size is roughly 6 x 9 inches.
