Small Revolver Holster – Civil War Era – ON HOLD

Small Revolver Holster – Civil War Era. Overall length approximately 9 inches,  The black bridle leather is in very good to fine condition, all complete and all stitching tight. There was never a plug at the muzzle end. The flap held down by a strap that runs into a leather keeper. Belt loop will accept a 2 1/4 inch wide belt.

The leather has formed over the years of use exposing what appears to be a loading lever and a wedge.  Possibly for a Colt Root?  Could work for several smaller handguns of the period.
