Description
USMC Expert Rifle & Pistol Badges, consisting of the 1912 pattern Expert Rifleman, and the 1922 pattern Pistol Expert (crossed ACPs). The rifleman’s badge has the safety pin type catch, that came in pre WWI, and the pistol expert badge has the open catch. I believe this set would have been worn in the early 20’s. The two were purchased together in a small bag, and although had no name, looked like they had been found together.
The badge proper on both is one piece construction, and the patinas match perfectly.
No markings.
Very good condition.
