WWI Era Photo framed with wood from a “captured German plane” 1918. The back of this photo of an attractive mother and child, reads, “This frame made from wings of captured German plane in France – World War 1918.” Printed in the center, ” TO THE NICEST MARRIED MAN I KNOW.”

The frame appears to be oak or a similar hard wood, stained in a reddish brown, with a height of 4 3/4 inches. The image has toned some, probably from the wood.
