Description

This Sterling hallmarked bracelet is identified to Boyd W. Gridley, who served in the Navy during WWII.  He enlisted in 1944 and was assigned to the 1st Class Landing Craft Support (large) Mark 3 ship.

The ship was commissioned on November 2, 1944, just one month after she was laid down (launched on Oct. 22).  The ship had one campaign star for the Borneo Operation at Tarukan Island May 1, 1945 to 8 Dec., 1945.  Later Gridley and the ship saw China service until Sept. of 1945.

The bracelet is complete and clasp functions.

Nice bracelet for a small ship and crew.
