Description
This large sepia colored photo portrait of Colonel Edward Lawrence Logan, Colonel of the 101st Infantry Regiment during WWI, is captured in a scarce pose wearing his painted helmet with unit insignia, “YD” patch (Yankee Division- 26th Division), and other insignia.
The photo was taken in Boston, by photorgapher “Marceau,” shortly after the return to the states by the Yankee Division. Photo size overall is 9 x 13 inches approximate.
Edward L. Logan, (1875- 1939), was a lawyer, politician and military officer. He had served in the Spanish American War in the 9th Mass, Infantry, and after WWI organized the Massachusetts State National Guard. Logan International Airport is name after him.
Excellent condition.
