Description
Although not identified, this infantry colonel’s frock shows sufficient field wear, without a doubt look of having been worn in the field. Typical construction for the period, with a different look having red cotton sleeve linings. Quilted green polish cotton lining is in good shape, only the inside cotton neck lining shows the most wear. A few of the buttons have been re-sewn back on. The shoulder straps are original to the coat, with the straps sewn down all around the borders of the straps. Bullion shows age toning and generally in good condition.
No question about this being a wartime, war used frock.
