Description
Annual Dinner of the Veteran Corps Celebrating the Forty-first Anniversary of the First Regiment Inft’y National Guard of Pa. Saturday, April 19th / Union League 1861 – 1902. Boxed commemorative program and menu, along with full color plates of uniforms worn from the beginning of the organisation to 1902. Printed by James Hogan, Phila. Illustrations by Charles Brinton Cox.
Contains roster (then current), photogravures of Admiral Schley, President McKinley, etc. 14 color plates (including the cover) of uniforms beginning in the Mexican War era. The plate are printed on thick stock and have gold on borders and edges. A bound together with red worsted wool tape.
In the box loose is a separate menu illustrated in color of the unit insignia on thick stock with gold trim and post card mailed to a member or guest in 1902. Also a newspaper clipping about Admiral Schley.
The box has printed cover. Showing wear with some of the side missing, but holding together to protect this super piece. First copy we’ve seen for sale.
