Description
This 12th Pennsylvania forage cap for an officer in the NGP, was made by Wm H. Wilson, Philadelphia. The name is finely embossed in the inside of the cap in silver, with black cotton lining. There is a sizing label on the back sweatband -“7.” State buttons used to hold the gilt chinstrap.
Fine condition wool body, and no sign of mothing. Silver bullion regiment numerals and all gilt rifle insignia with light toning to bullion.
A sweet cap.
