Description
Published in 1930, by the Recruiting – Publicity Bureau US Army, this scarce booklet of 43 pages, and well illustrated. Each spread has the history of a particular post, hospital, etc, with a collage of photographs for that place. This book belonged to Edward A. Graham, Quartermaster Corps, Fort Clark, Texas. Several pages have annotations in red ink, more of a humorous nature, than anything historically pertinent.
The units covered in this booklet for the 8th Corps area are:
- BROOKS FIELD, SAN ANTONIO, TX
- FORT BROWN, TEXAS
- FORT CLARK, TEXAS
- FORT CROCKETT, TEXAS
- FORT D.A. RUSSELL, TEXAS
- DODD FIELD, TEXAS

Some of these places I have never heard of, while many have prominent rolls during the Indian Wars era and before.
Fine condition, and most useful as a reference for the Interwar period.
