Description
CDV – Brigadier General Silas Casey.
Casey was a regular army officer, a ltcol. in the 9th U.S. Infantry at the beginning of the war. At the battle of Seven Pines, his unit was driven from the field by Confederate forces, which General George B. McClellan was blamed for. Casey troops were inadequately equipped and least trained,yet placed by McClellan in a key position on the field. Casey also wrote a 3 volume set, System of Infantry Tactics .
