Description
Interwar Period Officer’s Campaign Hat – Stetson Made.
The campaign hat was purchased by a newly graduated cadet, or perhaps on the the officer/cadre. This cap was made my Stetson without sewn edge, and sold, and so stamped in gold on the sweatband, as having come from the Cadet Store at West Point. Circa1920s with the oval eyelets in the brim for the new type chinstrap, where the ends looped over the hat cord (the later 30’s -40s type was a wider leather strap).
The cap shows evidence of been worn, and is missing the chinstrap.
No size label, but would estimate it being a size 7.
Very good example.
