Description
Piece of Decking From The U.S.S. North Carolina (BB-55). Original Teak decking from the WWII battleship that was commissioned on 9 April, 1941, decommissioned 27 June, 1947. The piece of the deck came from the 1994 – 1997 project (all the info here is on the plaque).
1 3/8 x 3 7/8 x 6 inches.
A nice historic souvenir from USS North Carolina, who served in the Pacific during the Guadalcanal, Gilbert & Marshall Islands, Mariana & Palau Islands, and operations against the Japanese home islands campaigns.
