Civil War Era Boots, Maker Marked with Sales Receipt.  Maker is Lester Brothers from Binghamton, NY, and their mark is on the sole.  Also marked size “11” above logo.  17 inches from ground to top.  Double sole.  Just a super pair of boots.

The receipt is dated October of 1860.

Can’t imagine finding a better pair without adding a real long search.
