Description

This vehicle pennant came from a well known collection and is identified to “Major Gen. George Irving Back, Chief Signal Officer, Mediterranean Theater of Operations, 1944-45,  Chief Signal Officer U.S. Army 1952(?)- 56” (on note with item).

The red wool felt pennant measures approximately 6 x 10 inches. The pennant retains its original tie string; the brigadier’s star is embroidered on.  There is a stiffener for allowing the pennant to hold its form when vehicle is parked.

No doubt, the this was Back’s when in his brigadier days.

In fine condition with a few small moth holes.
