First Pattern 1873 Springfield Rifle Bayonet Scabbard with Bayonet. The 1st pattern scabbard has a single dot between the “U” and the “S” on brass rosette. Inspection by “A. Smith” in the back side of frog. Metal scabbard retains a great deal of the original blue finish, as does the bayonet.

Typical wear to leather frog, and metal, overall in fine + condition.
