17th US Infantry Korea Challenge Coin / Pendant,  Bares the dates 1950 -1954.

The coin is perhaps one of the earliest challenge coins available.  It was designed by the colonel of the 17th Infantry, William “Buffalo Bill” Quinn while in command of the regiment in Korea.

The insignia side represents the Distinguished Unit Insignia, with the dates of service in Korea, and the reverse side has the date of 1812, when the regiment was established at the beginning of the War of 1812.

Holed to wear either on a dog tag chain, or as a pendant.
