Description
A single iron stirrup used by an officer in the New York militia Circa 1820-40 period. “N YORK” on the bottom foot plate. No other markings visible. Crusty iron patina, and probably dug. Purchased out of a collection years ago, but no location of where it was found recorded.
Stands just over 5 inches.
Good dug condition.
