1855 Springfield Rifle Bayonet & Nece Contract Scabbard SOLD

1855 Springfield Rifle Bayonet & “R. Nece / Philad.” contract scabbard. The bayonet socket is stamped “A” on the underside of the socket. The blade is marked “US” over either an S or C.  Some blemishing, but overall in very good – fine.

The bridle leather scabbard is well marked on the frog, and in fine condition, with some chipping on the high spots, edges, (see photos).

A nice accoutrement/ bayonet combo.
