1861 Model Cartridge Box – Watertown Arsenal, marked on the inner tool flap. The date is missing the last number but most likely 1864. A complete box with tins. Leather finish overall for an issued box is very good, with some wear, and light chipping on flap edge, and lower belt loops. The untouched 1839 box plate has a nice patina, and held in place by the original leather thong.
A better than average condition accoutrement.
