23rd New York State Regimental Shooting Team Member’s Medal Group – SOLD

23rd New York State Regimental Shooting Team Member’s Medal Group. The grouping belonged to William A. Stokes, of the 23rd NGSNY Infantry Regiment.

This grouping consists of his silver CREEDMORE  medal with ladder bars from 1885 to 1894 (maker RICHd OLIVER & BLOOMFIELD),  Pre Spanish War NY State Marksman badge, and USV Marksman badge, both made by TIFFANY & CO.  There are 2 State Matches Peekskill, N.Y. Expert Rifle Markmanships, the smaller one is dated 1928.

The Creedmore medal is the only one identified.  This group came from an advanced marksman medal collector, and I believe this is an honest group.  The Creedmore medal is worth the whole lot in my estimation.
