Description
2nd Lieutenant’s of Engineers Undress Coat & Trousers.
This fine condition Pattern 1912 officers undress coat and trousers belonged to 2nd Lieutenant Kenneth S. Jones. The uniform was purchased through the Army & Navy Co-Operative Company. Labels can be found in both pieces, and are dated 12/16/16. Coat is cut and finished on the left hip to accept the sword hangers from the belt worn beneath this pattern coat.
The coat has fine quality sew-on “US” and engineer insignia with wonderful, untouched patina.
The trousers retain Jones’s original suspenders.
Jones was not a West Pointer, and I have been unable to find him thus far.
Super condition other than the moth holes shown in the photo on the back left lower shoulder.
