Description
7th Regiment New York Shako Plate. This is an officer’s quality plate worn on the 1840d-50 shakos. Heavy brass plate with applied false embroidered silver numeral.
The plate is 5 3/8 at its widest; the number “7” is 2″ high. Lead backed.
A long iron wire runs through the mounting loops, and served no purpose except for hanging, I left it on.
Condition is very good with some light wear, and one larger spot.
