Description
902nd Field Artillery Bn. Identified Ike Jacket, including a chocolate OD red piped garrison cap and tie. The cap and Ike are identified to a H.J. Rabideau. The Ike is in fine condition, having the original Sterling distinctive unit insignia for the 902nd FA Bn, and these are very scarce insignia!
The identical Sterling DUI is on the garrison cap. All are pin back.
The 77th ID patch is fully embroidered, with private stripes on the sleeves, 3 overseas bars and 1 service stripe, Ruptured Duck, US and FA collar discs, and ribbon bars for Good Conduct, American Defense, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign (with 3 battle stars), WWII Victory, and Philippine Liberation with 1 star.
A contract label in the inside breast pocket dates the Ike to Dec. 16, 1944, and give size as 36L.
The 77th ID saw a tremendous amount of fighting in the Pacific Theater in WWII.
