Description
Two extremely fine portrait photographs of the commanding officer of all Naval Forces in the Pacific in WWII, Chester W. Nimitz. The overall size of each photo is 7 x 10 inches, with no photographer info.
The first image is of Fleet Admiral Nimitz (4 stars) on an island, in an animated conversation with another officer. This one has more of a sepia tone.
In the next image, the Admiral of the Navies,(5 star), not only wears the new rank on his collar, but has a 5 star necktie orniment suspended from a chain.
Great condition, and most suited for framing by themselves with either rank or autograph, etc.
