Description
B-17 Yoke (Control Wheel) Cap. This is the earlier version with black background on natural aluminum color. The cap measures 3 1/4 inches. inside are control numbers and the scratched in initials of a worker; this being a common practice (sometimes personalized sentiments were added).
A desirable piece of WWII memorabilia for one of the most famous of American war planes, the B-17 “Flying Fortress.”
Condition is very good, with some wear, light scratches, etc.
