WWII brigadier general’s vehicle plate, unused and in original wrapper.
This unused WWII era brigadier general’s vehicle plate measures 6 x 9 inches, and was painted red for line officers then the painted white star was applied on top of that surface. Wrapped in the original paper and contained in the original manila wrapper.
The plate would have been slipped down into a pre-existing frame on the vehicle’s bummer.
Condition of the plate is excellent; the paper inside shows tears and rust stains from the back side of the plate, and the manila wrapper in very good, with pencil writing on one side (see photo).
