Description
CDV – Lieutenant Dexter H. Follett, Cook’s Battery.
Captain Dexter H. Follett, a member of the Boston Light Artillery prior to the war, recruited the original 3rd Mass. Battery in September of 1861, and was its first captain. He resigned in November of that year, unable to go to war for health reasons. After the war, Follett was active in the 3rd Mass Battery Association and the Loyal Legion.
