Description
This image appears to have been retaken from a daguerreotype, originally taken in the 1850s. This militia artilleryman, most likely a private, is wearing his full dress uniform, with bearskin busby in hand. A nice clear view of his shoulder belt plate shows crossed cannons with a flaming bomb above. Don’t know the unit, but the image was taken by KIMBALL, Concord, NH.
Fine condition,
From the Michael McAfee Collection.
