A nice image of this 1st lieutenant from New York State wearing a fancy shell jacket and vest. He holds his chasseur pattern cap with infantry horn with what looked to be a single digit regimental number, however, there is another unit ID for the 146th?
Pencil inscription on back “Tuesday / May 28, 1863.” No photographer back mark.
Very good – fine condition with clipped corners.
