CDV of Frank Newlands – Chief Quartermaster Clerk At West Point.  Full standing view of Frank Newlands originally identified as the “head of the Cadet Store at West Point, but a correction was made sometime later, Newlands being the chief clerk in the QM Dept.

I have not been able to fine anything on him, yet is seems his daughter was the post master at the USMA, mentioned in a book, “Reminiscences of West Point in the Olden Time.” Derived from various sources, and registers of graduates of the USMA. 1886.”

No back mark.

Very good condition.

I would think a scarce image.
