Description
CDV Of The 23rd New Jersey Infantry Regimental Colors. Photographed by J. GOOD, Trenton, N.J. This view of the 23rd New Jersey Volunteers colors is hanging perhaps in the Trenton capital. I don’t believe this is Governor Charles Small Olden.
The 23rd New Jersey was a 9 month unit, mustered in in August of 1862, with battle experience at Fredericksburg, and Salem Church, Va. The regiment was assigned to the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 6th Army Corps, Army of the Potomac. Mustered out June 27, 1863.
Very good condition, with clipped corners. From a 24th New Jersey CDV album.
