Description

Photographed in Alliance, Ohio, this soldier wears what may be a musicians shell jacket (no herringbone)  and has a small revolver tucked into his waist belt. He has a rain cover on his forage cap, and holds an 1840 Light Artillery saber on his lap.

Photographed by E. Crew’s Art Palace.

I took the image in the evening, and has a more of a yellowish tint.  Very good condition.

From the Michael McAfee Collection.
