This 2nd Lieutenant appears to be an infantry officer, unidentified, and photographed by J.L. Winner, Photographer & Watchmaker & Jeweler, Camp Parole Station, Md.
A fine, clear image with the subject having an open frock, tugging on his vest. He might be a Maryland officer.
Camp Parole was established to accept Union prisoners that would be exchanged for Confederate prisoners. Camp Parole was also the camp where Clara Barton, the famous Civil War nurse was stationed.
