CDVs – Brevet Brigadier General William Price Jones. William Price Jones (1815-1869). Born in New York City, a merchant and auctioneer. He was military Provost Marshal of the Middle Department, and ADC to General Wool, April to Sept. of 1861. Provost Marshal Dept. of Virginia. Resigned in December of 1862. Brevet BGen. March 13, 1865. Died of Paralysis in Hartford, Ct. in 1869.
