Civil War Albumen Photograph of Officers of the 80th NY Infantry.

Photograph of some officers from the 80th New York, one was identified by the family- 1st Lt. Andrew S. Schutt.  He is identified with an “X” on the image.  He is seen in frock coat and dark blue trouser at the far left.  (Another image which had be sold prior to my seeing this one, shows Schutt standing in front of a tent).

The albumen is mounted on thick stock, and measures overall 9 x 10.5 inches, with the image being 7 5 inches long.

Schutt was 39 years of age when he enlisted as a 1st lieutenant into Co. C, 80th New York Infantry on September 5, 1861, and mustered out at City Point, Va. on September 5, 1864.  Prior to mustering out, Schutt had been wounded at Gettysburg on the 3rd day of battl
