Civil War Cavalry Officer’s Cap Insignia – Co. “E.” A original officer’s insignia showing a good amount of honest wear.  Gold bullion sabers are toned, and velvet is worn, particularly around the edges mostly. The company or troop letter “E” is the false embroidered type being 11mm high. The insignia did have a regiment number above the sabers.
