The manual contains illustrations of: Nomenclature of the Rifled Musket; School of the Soldier, positions (soldier in frock wearing the Hardee hat), with manual of arms; School of the Company, Instruction for Skirmishers, and Bayonet Exercises.
Pocket size 4 1/2 x 7.
Shows use, with dog eared corners, weak at the spine with most of the spine paper missing, some soiling and paper age toned. All complete and having a great look for display. Note in lead photo, corner is nearly separated- I have repaired this with acid-free tape.
A scarcer manual not as commonly seen.
