Civil War Philadelphia Navy Yard Fuze Box -1863 SOLD

This U.S. Navy fuze box stamped on the flap “NAVY YARD PHILdA 1863” is in choice condition showing little wear. All complete with the wide single belt loop, brass finial and closure strap. The right side panel of the box appears to have some weak stampings that is unreadable but period (perhaps repurposed leather). Used by naval cannoneers to hold their paper fuzes.
