Colt ’51 Navy Revolver – Wartime Produced in 1863.  A nice untouched Navy revolver with New York barrel address,  serial number 144139, manufactured in 1863. All matching numbers, mechanically fine +, large amounts of cased color on frame, lever, and hammer, and good amounts of commercial blue in protected areas. Most of the thinly applied silver plating during wartime is minimal in those protected areas. Silver blade front sight.  Most of the navy scene on cylinder is present, with some pitting in one small area on cylinder (see photo).  The rest of the metal is a light brown finish, most likely due to a good deal of holster wear. Varnished walnut grips show the most wear with most wear showing at the butt area on both sides.

A nice revolver for the money.
