Description
This simply constructed 14th Corps badge made of brass, is fashioned in the symbol of the acorn. It was originally fitted with a pin and open catch, that have eroded in time. Although dug, it is in very good condition. It is just over an inch and a half long.
Purchased from a collection with no provenance.
The 14th Army Corps was part of the Army of the Cumberland, and part again in Sherman’s Army that marched to the sea toward the end of the war.
