Early 1883 Overcoat Cape with Cavalry lemon yellow lining. Made prior to the change to gold yellow piping, facings and cape linings for cavalry. Even with good fading, there is not enough to suggest this fading for the 1885 change. All the buttons are present. A “75” (probably an soldier’s equipment number), as well as the hooks for attaching to the overcoat.

Condition overall is very good, with some moth damage in a few areas which I have shown in the photos.

A very short period for the use of this older pattern color before the “84-’85” change to golden yellow.
