Description

“THE WHITE HOUSE  WASHINGTON,  TO MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY EXPEDITIONARY FORCES:”

Dating most likely from the D-Day era, but not excluding being issued around November of 1943 for TORCH, the invasion of North Africa, FDR mentions this document going out to all army personnel “where the war is being fought.”

The document bears the facsimile signature of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The size is nearly identical to those issued by SHAEF for the D-Day landings, and all subsequent communiques.

Very good condition, with a small section torn away near a fold along the edge. Folded just like Eisenhower’s first communique issued before the D-Day Invasion.

Not as commonly found.
